ABOUT HUM
Hum A Cappella is UT Austin’s premier competitive South Asian fusion a cappella group. From its six-member inception, Hum has evolved into a group of highly dynamic vocalists who arrange all of their songs by in house. We blend a combination of Western and South Asian music styles through pure vocal performances and compete at national collegiate a cappella competitions. Founded in 2001, Hum has competed nationwide in the All American Awaaz circuit and has won numerous first places awards as well as placed 2nd and 3rd in Nationals in the past few years. Most recently, Hum placed 3rd at the 2022 All-American Awaaz National Championship, as well as 1st at Sangeet Saagar 2023. Hum is currently working on their 5th Studio Album, which will be released on all music streaming platforms soon!
